Kam Heong Pork


Kam Heong Pork


Last 2 weeks I had tried Kam Heong Chicken from a restaurant near my office, love the fragrance smell from the curry leave and the dried prawn. I wish to cook this dish by my own so i looked for the recipe online. Most of the recipe online is for Kam Heong Chicken but i only have pork in my fridge so i decided to cook Kam Heong Pork for todays dinner.

Kam Heong Pork

Ingredients:

300 g of pork - slice
1 tbsp of soya sos

1 tsp of sesame oil
1 tbsp of oyster sos
1 tbsp of chinese wine 


For the sauce:
 
3 cloves garlic- finely chopped
3 shallot – thin slice

2 - 3 tbsp dried prawn – soak and finely chopped
4 birds eye chilies - chopped
1 hand full of curry leaves
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp sugar
pinch salt to taste


Instructions of cooking:
  1. Marinate the pork with the soya sos, sesame oil, oyster sos and Chinese wine. Side a side and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.  
  2. Heat some oil in the work and stir fry onion and garlic till fragrance and lightly brown. Add in the dried prawn, chilies and curry leaves. Continue stir fry till fragrance.
  3. After you can smell the fragrance of the dried prawn and curry leave, add in the pork. Continue fry until the pork meat change to white color. 
  4. Add in all the others seasoning and water, mixing everything well let it simmer for a minute. Serve with warm rice.
